As for other data i really dont get why ppl get so worked up about it. Ur just an ID number mixed with data points. No face attached to it and nor does anyone analyzing these analytics know anyone personally or care

 

I dunno, on my end, ive never cared one bit if they have data to my behaviors or habits. Doesnt affect me at all in the slightest

I just remembered yesterday about the time everyone quit or was fired when Elon took over and Twitter was barely being held together by string and crashing constantly and we all thought it was over.. how did they manage to pull it together? 

Anyway.. this can never happen. The freak is so out of touch with reality that he doesn't realise regular people won't stand for this kind of monetary extortion

he amazes me on how inventive he is on finding worse and worse ways on how to destroy this app with each suggestion. the fact that every tweet has spam bot accounts on the replies you can't even scroll right or left..

He will collect the data, make a profile, and sell it.

His company has your full name after using the payment method, he scans the Internet using your full name for your face pictures and connects your name to your face; the company knows your location and if it is unsure which face picture is yours it is using geographic data and birth dates to find the most probable one; and he connects it to all the tweets that you made. And his company has deals with other websites to share, re-sell data and can acquire personal data from other websites, too. Other large companies already do this.   His company can also ban users permanently from re-entering the website by banning certain full names because people will need to pay (and the payment method discloses theie identity, and while many nicks can be made, there is only 1 identity).

If you were a public figure in future, someone could buy the data and use it against you.

For mental compartmentalizing I always think of it as X. Twitter died years ago. It was a great site. I remember what it was like in 2008 when the only people who used it were internet nerds. Sad.

Isnt the purpose of such data for analytics, targeted advertizing and whatnot?

 

I dunno, i just dont really care personally. So some data base knows what music I like to listen to, what i search up, what I like to buy etc. They do not care about me and I do not know them either. They are not there to judge individual people they just want analytical data

 

I feel it doesnt affect me in anyway shape or form and I don't really care.

 

I can see why some ppl might feel creeped out by it tho especially if they are a public figure more prone to scruitiny
