The singles from this era are all doing monster streaming numbers, Houdini has a lot of longevity on the charts and she just came off a global smash hit with Dance the Night and yall still trying to peddle the narrative that she is over💀💀

I mean, she's absolutly adorable as person, and interesting as an artist. Like for real, I was discussing with some ppl who have a lot of knowledge about music, which listen to many musical genres. They told me that they appreciate Dua's songs. I think that she's a great mainstream pop artist, she brings back House and Disco's trends, she's a fashion icon, her mv are nice and I saw some of her live performances and think that she's a very good performer. 

I liked a lot Houdini, Training seasons and Illusion, her collab with Tame Impala was a great idea, it's not great as Future Nostalgia but it sounds very good.

I don't think people in this thread are hating on her as much as they're making fun of the fact that Time has not only put her on the list, but on the cover. Perhaps she coulda shoulda made the list years ago, but it's blatantly obvious that she does not belong on the list this year. The only influence here is her label's influence in getting her on the cover to promote her new album.

I dont disagree with you, she does not belong on a time magazine list of 100 most influential people. 

I was talking about the constant Dua Lipa slander on this site, it is relentless. I can't log on without seeing stupid and inaccurate threads about her being another Katy Perry or this era feeling like 'FN leftovers"

This is coming from someone who has dragged her visuals this rollout. I am not someone who likes everything she does

I must admit this is one of the first Dula Peep threads I've ever entered, and perhaps she's not currently flopping on a Katheryn level, but those of us that have been around the block a few times know Dua won't stand the test of time.

 

I just looked and her singles this era aren't flat out bombing on the charts.

You could be right, there is currently no evidence of her impending downfall though, so why are we talking about it as if it is happening as we speak? Houdini had as high a debut as any of her singles from FN and has mantained longevity on the charts, her streaming numbers are very strong, her new stuff has received critical acclaim (even if it seems to be disliked here) and she has just come off a global smash hit with Dance the Night

 You can like or dislike her new music but she is not flopping, so all I ask is that this site stop pretending she is and look at the facts

Chronically online forum users and stan twitter are the only ones who talk about crap like this anyway

Nah I’ve seen Dua get a lot of **** lately outside of this and it’s all stemming from the lackluster numbers. It’s the same story every time. Once a pop girl’s commercial power dwindles, she becomes the butt of all the jokes.
