The first Joker movie was premiered at Venice Film Festival 2019

And Deadline mentions on their article dated February 2024, that JFAD are widely anticipated to join the festival again this year. 
Not impossible they are indeed will premiere at Venice again, and possibly on more film festivals around those months, (August-September) too, such as TIFF

These festivals are usually screen these movies for public too. Possibbly, there could be early screenings as well. We'll have to wait and see. Are you already planning to attend one of these events to see JFaD early before its official release date in October?

Is it possible for peasants (me) to go to a major film festival like TIFF and buy a ticket to a screening? Or is it just reserved for media? Because I will go to TIFF if it's possible

Yes, you can get tickets as regular people. It's about $26-$32 for regular screenings and $39-$88 for premium screenings.

If you live outside Toronto, it's the accommodation that you need to worried more, most hotels might be booked by like minded cinema enthusiasts.

I plan on seeing it opening weekend with my brother. We usually don't go to see movies opening weekend, but I'm gonna drag him to this one

Definitely will go the Thursday of opening weekend or whenever the earliest showings are here, in IMAX if possible. I think I’m the most hyped for this premiere of all her movies so far.

I'm definitely going on Thursday to watch it, it's probably the earliest I'll find. October 4th is a Friday but we usually get new movies every thursday and it happened with Scream VI so hope I can get to see it that day or maybe a Wednesday night premiere.

I planned to go to the south in of Europe for vacations on late September but had to reschedule to mid August. Turns out I'll be in Venice exactly during the first days of the festival, and now I'm freaking out with the possibility of watching a screening there
