What can I tell you, sometimes a story has no end… sometimes I wish we could just be friends..

We Can't Be Friends but I'd like to just pretend.

body mod should be normalized as it's not a bad thing :lolly:

to you it's not
to me it is
difference in values i guess

no one should be shamed for doing it, but it shouldn't be praised or promoted

instead of acceptance we are going into - oh you don't like it, just change it

which is a bit sick, at least to me

especially with someone who was 7 years in prison

she should be sitting everyday talking to a therapist, not informing strangers on social media about permanently changing her body

but whatever, not my life - thank god

oh yeah she should def still work on her mental well being like we all should

what i was trying to get across was that people aren't mentally ill because they get body mods lol

and sometimes u actually enter a better mental state after a desired modification too especially if its something cultural

i wasn't saying people who get it are mentally ill, but the fact that mentally ill people can get it is wild

for most part people are just insecure, not ill
which is fine, but i don't think surgery is the best way to go about it

it should be working on yourself, accepting who you are
talking to a therapist about it, understaning why you feel this way
then maybe if nothing helps, you should start looking into the right procedures

and i don't like this whole "i'm not doing it because of other people" thing
if that was true about platic surgery we wouldn't have the gap between the number of women and men getting it

if it's not because of society, then why it's mostly women who feel the need to change how they look?
is it biological, or is it because society puts bigger pressure on women to look a certain way?

(also, i'm talking about plastic surgery, not body mods, so the cultural aspect is not really relevant here)
