But you don't seem to care about Palestinian civilians I guess. As long as there's temporary criticism against Israel, you're enjoying that, and forgetting the long-term damage this war is causing.

As I said, the world has short memory, don't be deluded into thinking this is a victory for Palestinians. This is a disaster, with many long-term damaging effects. If you genuinely care about the Palestinians more than you hate Israel, you'd want to see a ceasefire NOW and push both sides to make concessions towards it.

If Israel is so bad, and such a danger for the Palestinians, Hamas could release the hostages and leave no excuse for Israel to continue its rampage. Wouldn't that be very politically smart? Instead of hiding among the population and enjoying the backlash against Israel at the cost of their own people?

There has been tough talk, but it’s always been followed with “but policy (actions) will not change.”

This is the first time he’s threatening to weaken policy and I think it’s a significant moment in this conflict, hopefully for the better.

Even Jill Biden is begging for Biden to end this mess like you know it’s bad when you lose your own wife 😭

I don't see where you're going with this Golda Meir mindset Hamas did offer a prison swap at the beginning of the war but Israel rejected it.

Netanyahu doesn't care about the hostages and some of them even were killed by Israeli airstrikes.

The last thing Netanyahu wants is ending the war because he knows he's ****ed.

Thousands of Israelis march every single day demanding a prisoner swap. If Netanyahu cared for them, he would sit his ass down and accept a prisoner swap deal.

Yes Netanyahu doesn't care about the hostages, or Israel's interest for that matter. But neither does Hamas and it's clear.

There's no excuse for rejecting an egyptian proposal, that includes a prisoner swap. They seem to think that they can turn this war into a PR victory and don't care if 30-40k palestinians pay the price for it. So now they're clinging to their maximalist terms and keep rejecting middle ground ceasefire proposals.

I'm not absolving Israel of responsibility and I think every war crime they committed must be punished.

But for people to not also put any pressure on Hamas (the other side of this conflict) to do anything for the sake of ending this war is insane.

They have the hostages.

to me it's just giving a mom saying "if you kids don't knock it off I'm turning this car around!!!" and everyone fully knows she won't

I don't think that someone who previously called Hamas a legitimate resistance group "cares for Palestinian civilians", given the situation Hamas put Palestinian civilians in, and the way they only exist to continue to serve as an excuse/casus belli for Israel to wage its war.

I see people refusing to consider that Hamas may not act in the interest of regular Palestinians. I see people getting angry when Hamas is criticised. 

If people refuse to acknowledge that side of the conflict, and get in attack mode, is it unreasonable to conclude that they are supporting Hamas?
