Lipa co-wrote āIllusionā with Caroline Ailin, Danny L Harle, Tobias Jesso Jr., and Kevin Parker, who contribute across the album. The single was co-produced by Harle and Parker. āāIllusionā was the first song Caroline, Danny, Tobias, Kevin and I worked on together, and it really broke the ice for the recordā Lipa said in press materials. āItās about knowing what youāre getting yourself into, but staying for the hell of it.
