Kinda expected more, definitely not my favorite Charli album, but the whole thing is an absolute vibe and I’ll definitely have it on repeat all summer. Is a deluxe confirmed?? tyler k 4,874 Posted June 5, 2024 Share Posted June 5, 2024 just got back from a listening party, it's a fuc*king smash every song fuc*ks oh my godddd sympathy is a knife, everything is romantic, 365, i think about it all the time, girl so confusing are deadass all career highlights like she really outdid herself. it feels like the most authetically charli album she's ever made. I absolutely love that she tapped into her underground rave roots, bc we get a really cool mix of the avant-pop PC Music vibe with some really grimy clubby techno beats mixed with her pop sensibility, it's really quite fantastic it's extremely brash, in your face, weirdly vulnerable & emotional?!?!? I was hoping this album would get me more into her music, and while it is true I have liked more songs from this effort than any effort in the past, I don't think I will revisit them. Apple is somehow so nostalgic, True Romance vibes. Everything is romantic — oh wow, the way she says ‘uh’ there alone… 9/10 Overall pulls together stuff from all her eras but sounds still very cohesive, AOTY easily.
