The general public weren't saying "wow look at that amazing fashion made by reputable fashion designers." They were saying "lol Gaga is such a try hard wearing crazy outfits for attention"

First of all, the GP is almost never a reputable source for accuracy. Don't move your goalpost just because I presented an argument against your statement. And my last point still remains, if you're conflating this and anything Gaga wore 2010 and before, it's showing a serious lack of taste and perspective.

yes, the general public was saying Gaga was a try hard - why?

because there are people like jojo who wear random outfits just to look edgy, while sining about being wild and crazy, when in reality they are nothing like it. it's cringe and unauthentic.

and when someone genuine comes in, like Gaga it's hard for some people to tell the difference so they group everyone together.

 

like cmon, she's a rich 21 or something girl, who spend most of her life in a pink dress and a bow, dancing and vlogging for her kid audience. now she's covered in tattoos, trying to look like a badass while calling herself a bad girl who did bad things. if that's not a try hard then what it?
