This is v true. Every Beyonce album takes a few listens for me to really understand. I didn't like Cowboy Carter at first but now it's really dawning on me. Renaissance one of my all time favourites.

I like Beyonce, she's phenomenal performer and vocalist, but I do feel like she HERSELF ain't the most, umm musically challenged individual in the biz.

In this case her producers and writers deserve a lot of the same credit too.

And they'd be correct. There's always intention and at least 3 layers to peel back in every project. So many of her collaborators and members of her whole crew talk about how active and meticulous she is in all parts of production. I keep saying it but literally no other major artist is doing it like her right now.
