Concertaholic 5,444
I feel like people forget to listen to this song because it’s not on an album but it did relatively well commercially and it’s a total bop! I remember hearing it on the radio all the time over the summer when it came out! 1
CatelynnMarie 4,239
Still one of my most streamed songs. I LOVE THIS SONG SM I have so many memories. It’s one of my fave mini eras for sure too like, the premiere at Coachella, jwt, the single cover and lyric video. Everything about the song itself is just, it’s very relaxing, a feel good bop. It kinda makes me think of like, it would be a great vibe as the last song of an 80’s feel good movie that fades into the credits

The savior knows this, but they feel like they are the special one that can cure this person with their love, and what keeps the savior going is their believe in their partners potential. I know its just a song, and im looking too deep into it, but I do cringe a little when I listen to the song, specially that I used to have a big savior complex

I'm pretty sure this was about Sonja, Gaga's friend with cancer. You're taking it too literally.

Joshie S 5,815
This is one of my favourite songs from her, for personal reasons. When my Grandfather was passing away we rushed to the hospital and I stayed by his side as he passed and I felt his spirit leave us. Then back to the car afterwards, my sister and I get in, upset and in tears, and on the radio at that exact moment the car turned on, playing was The Cure. It was a very special moment, because the next day I received a phone call about a job interview (after being without a job for several months).. and this job ended up leading me to move across the country and on a new journey. Funnily enough, as I was road tripping across Australia to my new home, Gaga surprised released Joanne (Girl Where Do You Think You're Going Piano Version Gaga's Version) music video.. She is always forever in my heart and yeah The Cure is so fun, I remember when she debuted at Gagachella, I was tripping on acid wearing earrings that she ended up wearing in the ASIB film as they are looking towards her ALLY billboard. Plus the song is so special and obviously inspired by Sonja. Their friendship was so special. Anyway, I love Gaga. The melody that you choose can rescue you ♥
MOT 2,663
It's easy on the ear and a song that has grown on me, but it's very unGagalike, too much sugar. The pop princess persona that she adopts to sing it at the end of JWT makea me chuckle. This woman ain't no pop princess.

I think that's because she wrote it for/as Ally. 1
