People are so caught up in the "musical" label, but like, would y'all label ASIB a "musical" or a movie that incorporates music into its plot? I think it's the same situation here. There will be a lot of songs and music in the film because it's going to be a big plot point in the movie, but it's not a "musical" in the traditional sense. However, there is a door open for an original song (or two) to be added to the final version. Details regarding who would pen the tracks, or sing the numbers are unknown. We do know, according to sources, Hildur GuĆ°nadĆ³ttir, the Oscar-winning composer of the first āJokerā film, is said to āinfuse her distinctive, haunting [music] cuesā into each number. Warner Bros declined to comment. Jukebox musicals, known for featuring popular songs, often achieve box office success. Harley slips into little daydream fantasies throughout the movie, which only last a few seconds or a minute, and each one has just a snippet of a cover (and I imagine each one becoming more deluded. And it's over the top, narrated even, comic book style).
