Trump, who last week became the Republican Party’s presumptive nominee, went on to charge: “Any Jewish person that votes for Democrats hates their religion. They hate everything about Israel and they should be ashamed of themselves because Israel will be destroyed.”

I hope the pro-Palestinian progressives who wanna boycott Biden clearly understand what the alternative is. He's been ramping up his support of Israel recently. So these voters are literally shooting themselves in the foot.

Thank you for this. I understand wanting a third party (hell I want one absolutely!), but domestic issues can't be ignored. Reminder that this doesn't mean I agree with what is happening in the middle eats, but let's not ignore our own problems too.

"Isntreal" happens to be the only country, where Middle Eastern Jews (largest ethnic group in Israel) could find refuge, after being persecuted and kicked out of many countries (including Yemen, Iraq, Syria, Egypt etc..). And it's the only place where they can have their right to self-determination, after being failed by many other governments (european and middle eastern) who were supposed to protect the Jewish minorities.

So it's important to be critical of the CURRENT Israeli government and the CURRENT Prime Minister, but denying their right to exist is genocidal and helps Trump prove his point actually.

The more y'all do that, and reject the two-state solution, the more you help republicans, Netanyahu, and the far right.

This would be all nice and proper if like the vast majority of the population there weren't also genocidal maniacs. Except babies, probably. And like those 10 leftists and the 20 Israeli Orthodox Jews who protest the government.

The same could be said of Third Reich Germany. The average citizen in that era had bought into the heavy propaganda and supported the state's antisemitism (although the scale of the Holocaust was not public knowledge), the TF programme, the war effort, the racial purity stuff etc. But the solution wasn't erasing Germany from the map.
