Genuinely can’t tell if this is a joke or not, but I’ll answer sincerely: Mike Pence refused to overturn the results of the election on January 6th, 2021, Trump incited an insurrection specifically condemning Pence’s behavior, Trump’s supporters erected gallows outside the Capitol, stormed the building shouting, “Hang Mike Pence!” Trump heard about this and threw gas on the fire on Twitter, claiming Pence had abdicated his duties, Pence came within 15 seconds of being attacked by the mob, but managed to escape and has been a persona non grata in the conservative movement every since refusing to overturn the results of the 2020 election.

TL;DR Pence as VP had the duty to certify the results of the elections with US Congress. Trump pressured Pence to NOT certify Biden's victory during the last presidential elections.. but Pence did not have the authority to do that. 

Trumptinators went after Pence and sent him death threats.

Pence's (constitutionally-mandated) cooperation made it much easier to declare Biden the winner and he was even present in the inauguration.

Thanks for explaining, I knew about the insurrection but had no idea that Pence was at the centre of it, I somehow missed that massive slice of information  I can barely keep up with my own countries politics let alone the US which has some sort of mess going on every other day
