Yeah I also was looking at tickets because she was coming close by and figured why not go dance and have myself a good time. I enjoy some of her music. Then I saw the ticket prices for decent seats. Not even good seats. I don't want to see her that badly to pay that much for a not great seat. If they were cheaper though I'd go.

JLO just doesn't have a strong established fan base that is prepared to fork out. 

People with dedicated fan bases can pull the peak numbers we're currently seeing. Madonna's tour according to reporting has an avg price of $192.

JLO has a way more casual fan base. The type who will be turned off by the $300+ price tag, but like you be interested in a cheaper option.

I totally agree with you. However, the average ticket for Madonna could be a lot higher if tickets were sold at the original/on sale date. Promoter like to claim that show are sold out quickly. Nowadays, it simply means that the tickets available at that moment are all sold out. What they don’t mention is that 50% are on hold for partners, marketing or other reasons. Madonna had a lot of decrease in price once they release them. I paid 350$ for each night I went for tickets that were originally sold at 1 200. Same happened for Mariah and Adele.
