American politics are already so not diverse, it is crazy to me how you only have two options, moreover both of them being people that already were in office and arguably neither were popular.

It’s basically a known fact that an incumbent president up for re-election will get the nomination. And he did by winning the primaries even though there were some candidates running against him who got very little support. 

Ultimately the Democratic Party wasn’t going to replace and incumbent president and the people who voted in the primaries overwhelmingly chose Biden.

The US could absolutely do more but speaking just from a sociopathic standpoint, I think he'd have more to lose politically by causing an upheaval in US/Israel relations. So he's playing it safe, keeping friendly with Israel while putting increasing pressure on them to stop their genocide and funding efforts to get aide into Gaza, even without Israel's permission.

Imagine a world where leaders did what was right regardless of the political impacts

Though, I guess doing that would lead to a Trump win which would be demonstrably worse for Palestine...

I saw two UFOs with my own eyes within the past month. One was a metallic chrome triangle in broad daylight that hovered in the sky and then zipped away. Well, primaries are decided by votes. Truth is politicians AND the people are cowards.

People voted for Biden and Trump in the primaries. They could have easily voted for someone else and chose not to.
