They're literally just slapping on a cowboy hat and doing their best southern impressions, meanwhile the full project is actually pop/hip-hop/rock/whatever with ~1 or 2 hoedown-adjacent songs spliced in  People need to stop

I mean we haven't heard the album this time so we can't judge yet, knowing Beyonce's deep knowledge and appreciation of music genres and the fact she's reclaiming it back from its roots I'm sure it'll be more authentically country than those others but we will have to see I guess.

Beyoncé is from Texas, has a natural southern accent that was made fun of for years because it came out in interviews more in her early career, and has been wearing and performing in cowboy hats since before Destiny's Child. Now the project may include songs that don't fit into the typical country genre you're expecting like chopped n screwed or H-town Trill, but it's definitely gonna be authentic to country ass Texas. I hear and agree with what you're saying, but whatever Beyoncé has cooked up isn't a part of that lol
