I thing being a fan of things up to a point is ok. The issue is people who are so obsessed to the point it's cringeworthy and just downright embarrassing. To the point where they lose themselves to fantasy.

You are completely responsible for the things you do and say to other people believe it or not

Oh I wasn't aware, not that I work in a call center keeping pissed off level 100 customers calm all day. I won't bother labouring my point anymore since you are obviously incapable or unwilling to listen.

River

you guys waking up each morning, logging in to a GGD, fighting constantly with lady Gaga avatars about charts, pop music, and some other shallow things, for the whole February you were at the hype train, then had meltdowns when nothing happened, you searched for clues in her lipstick and you cry like babies when you get a warning point because u were assholes in a pop forum but yeah.. a harry potter theme wedding is the weird thing? :icant:

So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy

they can stan anything and immerse themselves in the fantasy whenever they can, as long as it's good and it doesn't fills the pockets of a bigot creator, but they prefer to be oblivious or excuse her because their hedonistic nostalgia is more important than any critical thinking

I support any bashing of hp so i support Queen Miriam, yes hp was my childhood but i've now move on from it as in retrospect they're bad and anything JK rowling deserves be read to filth, so people is allowed to call silly these nostagia ridden people of movies and books that are not good at all and fills the pockets of a bigot because they are. i'm obssesed with better things now, this culture as well as disney adults are extremely superficial and hedonistic for the most part.

Mate I'm a Disney adult, I'm a pretty decent person I reckon! Not superficial or hedonistic, maybe you should quit watching tik toks mocking people's interests and speak to real people who are interested in those things, bit harsh coming from someone's who's a fan of Gaga who preaches kindness don't you think. For me I love the parks because I'm also a theme park enthusiast (go on laugh at me :laughga:), and they're the most well designed parks on the planet, mixed with my parents buying Disney films when I was a kid and loving the music and characters, I just don't get why it's a big deal to like Disney and openly mock people or call them names without knowing them. Also, as well as enjoying Disney, I enjoy indie and world cinema, video games, swimming, travel.. you can't pigeon hole someone's personality for one of their interests based on some tik tok trend of hate, it's not fair and it's immature.

she must be so boring at parties.

This is actually a harmful thing to say.  There are lots of grown adults who love Disney, who love barbie, who love Superman and bat man and MARVEL and DC universe.  It is totally normal and healthy to be passionate about something and have a hobbie.

let people enjoy what they want.

that being said- I hate jk rolling

Theres a difference between Harry Potter / Disney fans and the term Harry Potter adult / Disney adult. Not all Harry Potter / Disney fans who are adults are Harry Potter / Disney adults. Only a small minority are.

I think there's a lot worse things people are doing to worry about, let people live and enjoy whatever if they're not hurting anyone

Life sucks for a lot of people & fantasy is needed

Eh, who really cares? If these adults are paying their bills and contributing to their respective economies, how they spend their money and free time should be of no one’s concern, and certainly shouldn’t be inhibited by someone else’s judgment.

And the point we’re trying to get across is we have no justified reason to judge, belittle, or make fun of these Harry Potter / Disney adults. They’re not hurting anybody.
