The jazz band mentioning Prince

Her comment about "sexy never left"

And now Batman

Wow this makes a lot of sense

When you say "and now Batman" do you mean the candy picture? That was a bat too.

Not to mention the rumor that Gaga was in the studio with the Weeknd and then Abel randomly posting a pic of Prince in the studio on his IG stories.

looking season 7 GIF by Portlandia

As much as it's a weird coincidence, that rumor is false because The Weeknd is recording in another studio, so unless Gaga went specifically to him behind the scenes it's just another Nostradamus lie

I just can't wait to have more news because the hype for that train is high.. For a batman fan,  (and i bet i'm not the only one ) who grew up with the animated series in the mid nineties wishing every sunday to call to win the batman figurine... the hype train is HIgh as MaryJaneHOlland.

edit : i have no expectations on the genre, if it's not batman-ish it's still perfect for me but my nerves.... damn. Ineeedaknow!!!!!!!

Mars

This sounds really probable and promising.

It could be that LG7 is Joker related and they both drop at the same time. I don't know why fans keep making a distinction or that one should come before the other. A Harley concept album but 100% Gaga.

I love the idea of her making music inspire by Harley but at the same time I can't see Gaga doing that because she always tries to distance herself from the character she plays because people would just say she is playing herself :huntyga:

She might say it at some point, but no one will believe that Gaga is actually a bat:messga:

Separate from the actual Danny Elfman OST, the record was its entire own concept album, of POP songs, complete with singles and music videos. Several songs appeared in the film, several didn't.

Even though Gaga always wanted to seperate herself from the character she plays, remember she also always wants to remind people they DON’T know what Lady Gaga is.

That would make so much sense, a Batman franchise + all of this Prince teasing? plsss

...has anybody seen my disco stick?

Reality

I theorized something similar with Bowie's Station to Station album. Bowie's Thin White Duke character was mostly utilized for his album Station to Station. The character itself was inspired by one of Bowie's movie characters Thomas Jerome Newton in the film The Man Who Fell to Earth. I think it's entirely possible that Gaga took a similar approach to Harley and Joker 2 tbh. I don't know if she'll have a specific character or persona like Bowie, but I do think LG7 could be inspired by her experiences working on Joker 2.

The Prince influences and references are apparent with LG7, and him making an album for Batman could be an interesting connection.

Also, remember that Gaga wore a Batman & Joker shirt when she was in the studio. She definitely could've worn it just because she's in Joker 2 and it's a nice nod to the movie, but maybe it also has connections to what she's doing for LG7.

Mmm idk about Prince. I love Prince a lot but Gaga has really not mentioned him as a direct reference in her career. It’s actually kind of shocking given how many icons around him she’s referenced lol I think she was more a Michael girlie, honestly.

its kinda like Janet; she’s like had inspo before like on sexxx dreams but never like VOCALLY ADMITTED the inspo same as Prince.

She thanked him in The Fame booklet acknowledgements, and Martin Kierszenbaum said their initial first conversation was about their shared love of Prince and using him as a template for her work.

"I would like to thank Andy Warhol, David Bowie, Prince, Madonna, and Chanel."

And she's has mentioned Prince (and Janet) on multiple occasions lol, particularly early on in her career. Now whether or not some monsters acknowledge that (since so many only seem to care about her Bowie or Madonna references) is a different story.

Ok but like…written in the album booklet from 15 years ago compared to…you know what I mean compared to Bowie, MJ, Whitney, etc. lol

Has she? I’ve been here since the beginning and honestly can’t remember a time she verbally acknowledged Janet in particular the way she has MJ, Bowie, Grace jones, etc. Very open to being proven wrong! LOVE Janet so I’d welcome it, I just can’t remember a time she has lmao

Like yes I remember the fame booklet but that was one time 15 years ago lol has she mentioned either person like she has Bowie or Grace jones? That’s more my point is that it doesn’t seem from what I’ve seen and heard over the last 15ish years that Prince has been some HUGE conscious inspo for her

I mean Whitney Houston and Bruce Springsteen were name dropped and impact was felt all throughout BTW. After the era was over we didn’t hear or see much of their influence. I’m not sure why she can’t have Prince be a source of inspiration for the album based upon your reasoning. She’s loves pop culture and in particular the big 80s icons.
