That is exactly what he did. When you intentionally try to cast doubt on credible accounts of rape, even after U.N findings confirming them, just because you can't bring yourself to have empathy towards "Israeli" women, that is what rape apologia is.

If you read his tweet, you'd see that that he was talking about the UN REPORT, NOT NYT and whatever alleged "inconsistencies" the video you linked mentions.

And you're defending him when you could've just said he ****ed up there and moved on. 

And I'm really not gonna bother wasting any more time debating rape apologia. If people still struggle to accept it despite U.N findings, it's their problem. Cant help sick people.

I do agree.

The sad thing is is that these far extreme ends from both sides make up such a small, rather insignificant amount of that party when you compare it to the whole party (in terms of the volume of people), but they are often the ones making the headlines the most, and it paints this perception of both sides that, while they tend to share the same overall belief of their side, are generally far less tolerant and far more hostile.

I think since the Trump era started, the right has been blurring the lines between those extremist views from that far side of the party and it has been spreading more and more to the left at such a rapid pace, its hard to tell one from another, because they are all now cut from the same cloth, or so it seems.

I remember back during Obama's election, I actually had republican friends and family members who expressed support and humanity for those on the other side, including minorities... Perhaps I was lucky since I don't think others have similar experiences, but now I just see injustice.

My disagreement with them was not about the original topic, its mostly about the kind of argument they used against me. I dont like it when I disagree with someone, and they respond by saying they are right because they are part of a minority and Gay. And when I called them out on it, they accused me of being homophobic!

I dont care what AOC calls it, its politics and sometimes these words can be counter intuitive to the cause. Aslong as shes doing the right things to help Palestinians, im fine with it. I dont follow her anymore because I dont trust her, so I dont know if shes doing the right things.

From my perspective i also felt the homophobic accusation was uncalled for. Nothing u said was homophobic

 

But on the flip side u did say that being a minority or gay doesnt automatically make you good and you can be evil still... i dont think he said or insinuated other wise u kinda added that in with no evidence thats exactly what he was saying. All he said was that he was a minority fighting for rights, that doesnt mean he thinks ALL minorities have to be good people, he never said that

The media (NYT for example) misrepresented the example I already gave (like when some paramedic found a 13 and 16 year old girl’s corpses  violated and abused, when really they were “just” shot and killed. Also, I believe that story was from one source only when the usually the NYT takes two sources on accounts of this nature. This is all quite literally detailed in the 10 min vid I sent you.

I trust when the UN says there was mass sexual violence on 10/7, and Hasan does too.

There is just a massive issue of media bias and the details of how the NYT story was written is a sad example of that. 

Also I dont know who you’re talking about in that last paragraph but I don’t claim those people probably like you dont claim every centrist who says/thinks something wild

The video you linked, talked about how there are allegedly some minor details from the NYT report that the U.N COULD NOT CORRABORATE. But the wider conclusion, that sexual assault was weaponized remains the same.

Hasan in his tweet was NOT TALKING ABOUT THE NYT REPORT. He explicitly says that the U.N REPORT IS BEING MISREPRESENTED in the media.

I wouldnt call it minor details, I think it’s extremely weird how the NYT won’t just pull the story in the off chance they’re falling for an bad actor who thinks it’s not good enough he found two teen girls murdered, and that he had to fabricate a rape element to it as if it’s appropriate.

Okay maybe you're genuinely confused about this. And that's okay.

The NYT investigation is a separate investigation, from January. The U.N report got issued like a couple of days ago.

Both are different investigations. That's why it's so bad faith of him to use some alleged contradictions in a SEPARATE investigation to try to discredit a U.N investigation.

Earlier in his career, he had this "bro tips" blog where he was trying to appeal to frat boys, he was saying misogynistic **** and transphobic stuff, including about Lady Gaga.
