Trump will spin this by saying the establishment wants her to win because she's not for the people.

I'm glad she staying in no matter what so everyone can see how many republican voters are against that loser, but it looked so sad for her lol

Heartbreakingly this isn't that big of a win. Trump deserves every loss he can get, but DC historically has not been a major conservative winning place. Trump placed third in the DC Republican primary in 2016 (he was uncontested in 2020). Nixon got only 21% of the DC vote in his landslide 1972 election victory.

Sadly this doesn't mean much for Nikki Haley.

Yeah, all I'm saying is its good for people to see that a notable percentage of republican voters are not willing to give that man a second term, and her staying in the race like this is the best way to see that!

If the place that had to deal with 1/6 firsthand voted for dude, things would feel a lot more hopeless.

i would hope that at least this victory will ensure her campaign gains a bit more momentum, showing she's also a viable option by proving that trump isn't a done deal. him losing there proves at least that he's not actually 'being treated as if he were an incumbent' by voters and shows he isn't going into this uncontested.

This is good news. I accept that in electoral terms it is insignificant, but it's another little stick to beat Trump with. Haley can talk it up, Trump cannot.
