The theme of her show being brutalist doesn’t lend itself to any of those obnoxious stages you posted above. Just want to correct this, No, brutalist architecture is actually characterized for its hard angular, box like and menacing sharp edges in huge structures, the CBT stage captured this perfectly, a huge chamber like box stage with very sharp edges, almost puncturing the audience with the two odd not connecting catwalks and the three half rhombus in between. There is also no denying the stage is huge, it is actually about the same size of the eras tour and renaissance tour if you compare the size of them one to one in the same venues they played, Tottenham in London for example, I'd say CBT stage is even taller as far as the height the ceiling of the chamber reaches, but about the same height and and length of the screens, Those tours stages might seem bigger just because they are certainly much more square feet worth of catwalk screen floor than stage itself, and no interruption continuous screen, while in CBT has no screen floor and it's everything practical textured concrete, as well as screens split with four pillars of the same practical texture, i think she just wanted to preserve the practical effect theatrical feel and not have everything be just screen, she always does this no matter if its a club, a theater, an arena or a stadium, its just her style.
