Well u did say when theres no more credits or subsities. Couldnt the countries that are behind simply remove the credits later?

No they could. 

I'm looking at it through a very UK-centric lense where we have a government that is simultaneously comitting to the 2035 ban on new petrol & diesel engines & trying to entice EV battery makers into the country, but simultaneously attacking EVs and also bending over backwards to make cross-border trade harder lol 

So there's a very real chance that political interferance creates a situation where EVs become the main mode of personal transport, but the infrastructure development has been held back preventing consumers seeing reduced costs through economies of scale.

My Country is very behind too

 

We have gotten pretty ahead in terms of making power generation clean but in terms of EV adoption rates its awful Nationally. 

 

Only 2 of 13 Provinces & Territories (British Columbia & Quebec) have double digit EV rates on the road. In my Province of Ontario (the most populated) its like 5%
