I think that's the point tho? A lot of fans are saying they wish it's more balanced with art (music)

her release schedule isn't that different to her peers though

mother, what must i do?

Apparantly you don't know that the point of a thread is to discuss said topic.

There was a period I went like 8 months inactive on this site and suddenly because I am involved in this thread you seem to have an issue. Cease with your childish insults about "expanding social circles" as if that means anything at all, I am certain that I am not the only one who has claimed you argue like a toddler.

you deadass said "cease" ijbol :lmao:

i can't top that, you win :lmao:

I feel myself drifting from Gaga and it makes me feel sad and confused (and I'm talking about more and more the past few years, not because of this one comment, don't come for me). I don't want to comment on differing beliefs because the debate has already gone on too long in here.

I don't want to speak for anyone but I think a few people are in the same position as me. They're feeling emotional because they feel not as connected to Gaga anymore, who they've loved and felt akin to for a very long time. And with lots of emotions comes lots of emotionally driven comments

Parasocial relationships are such a complicated thing. Especially when certain figures have contributed hugely to how you developed in your formative years and have influenced the person you've become as an adult. Your values and morals, how you live life and treat others, what you agree with and don't. The celebrity becomes irreversibly entangled in the fabric of your life and your life story. And so, when you drift apart there almost has to be a period of mourning

I'm not gonna unstan any time soon and throw a fit on my way out, but I'm starting to feel that in the future I just won't feel connected to Gaga anymore the same way I have for over a decade. And that's okay.. it's like real life relationships, people come and go, you drift apart from some and grow closer with others, it's forever changing. But all that aside, who knows what will happen tbh she could surprise us and change our minds  stay open minded

We are getting a lot of capitalism, but where is the art? I’m happy to have ads if we get a balance of art as well?

This.

However, what baffles me is how can one so blatantly claim to be a capitalist (we knew that in recent years she shifted her interests from art to business. It's ok.) but at the same time to have been anti-war, humanitarian etc. I mean... She has met with Dalai Lama in the past.

Isn't it like oxymoron?

Gaga has been saying this for years. She’s always been about selling in, not selling out. That means, if you can profit while still changing culture and staying true to yourself, do that. Anyone who thought Gaga was some non-profit folk musician never understood her to begin with.

Lady Gaga the past few years: stars in 2 major movies to mass critical acclaim, writes, records and releases a soundtrack album and a pop album + releases a jazz album, performs and produces a world tour, performs in Vegas, performs a live streamed jazz concert, performs at the Oscars multiple times, contributes to a film score + writes another soundtrack song, films a third massive movie with another soundtrack, collaborates with the Rolling Stones, is working on her 7th album.

Fans: wHeRe’S tHe ArT?!!!!

The amount of work, effort and energy that goes into a career like Gaga’s is unbelievable. The fact she doesn’t release pop albums on your schedule is your own problem, the woman is beyond committed to her art. But stay mad about migraine ads and Haus Labs I guess?

Guys she's working on LG7! It's obvious! She's still a huge lover of arts in general (movies, performing, technology) even if it's not always in music ngl.

And also how bout giving her bit of "thanks" for using her platform and raising money during that pandemic, huh? Or we just going to pretend that didn't happen and bitch about how she "dIdNt pRoMoTe cHrOmitiNac" instead?

Calm down a bit.

So if she were giving you all music every two years to pop your ******* to you'd be ok with her being a capitalist? Oh ok got it. I jus... ok ok. :coffee:

It doesn’t matter what I’m okay with. She is the one who mentioned art but doesn’t actually give us art. At least have your actions match your words.

Wow this thread blew up. On a serious note, her saying this does not surprise me lol. I stopped “believing” in the image she created many years ago. It’s all been a ploy to sell. Marketing off of the weird kids to sell this image of “self love and bravery” through merchandise has always been capitalistic. Just take it all for what it is. Dance to the music she puts out and continue living your lives. Don’t put her on such high of a pedestal and you won’t have to watch her fall :traumatica:

Bro, she's given us a ton of art (music, fashion, tour, concerts, films, video games, makeup) in the last 5 years still

Yes, to some people that's their ART and she clearly is enjoying that side of things (nakeup)

And we all know LG7 is just around the corner too. Let's relax a bit. She's not retiring.

It’s not that we hate capitalism, we can’t escape it at all… but if she thinks art and capitalism exists where’s the music? That’s what we want to spend on.

She grew her fanbase preaching about how she’d always make music and perform even if she was broke, “music not the bling”, “i hate money so i don’t perform money honey”….

Now she’s Lady Nurtec and preaching about her Le Riot Lip Liner and capitalism. :bear:

makeup is art

movies are art

video games are art

shes in the art industry, art is a very wide thing..
