I think it’s downright bizarre there isn’t one democrat candidate out there that could’ve opposed Biden. I know running for president is all about money but they had FOUR years. This is getting scary.

No it’s not bizarre at all. Biden is an incumbent president and that’s who is expected to run for reelection. In 2028 there will be a whole new pool of democratic candidates.

What’s bizarre is that Trump is running and the RNC is treating him like an incumbent even though he lost, because their entire party has become a cult centered around him.

For anyone wondering about the uncommitted block, Michigan is very familiar with an uncommitted "protest vote" in their uncontested primaries. In 2012, Obama had a similar protest vote during the Michigan primary that amounted to 20k votes, around 10% of the votes that primary. Obama still won Michigan by 10 points during the general election by more than 400k votes.

2012 Michigan Democratic presidential caucuses

 Barack Obama = 174,054 = 89.31%

Uncommitted = 20,833 = 10.69%

Total Votes: 194,887

…and now the uncommitted votes have surpassed 100,000.

This isn’t the status quo you thought it was ☠️

100,000 uncommitted voters in a primary in a swing state seems kind of bad

The 2016 might jump out and for no good reason 😭

Thanks Israel 💗

It’s 13.3% uncommitted for Biden compared to the 10.6% for Obama over a decade ago. Context

There are several... at least two of them were on the ballot. They drew very few votes, because they didn't earn them. Even the "vote uncommitted" movement made a point of not endorsing any of the other candidates, because they want to send a message, not actually un-elect Biden.

Guess we need to accept Trump will be president. :(

By what logic?

and only 67% for Trump (with most of the rest of the Republican votes going to an actual candidate rather than "uncommitted").

I wouldn't wanna have to make such a decision as an American to be honest. I would never want to vote for genocide joe but it's pretty obvious that trump will be genocide trump with the added bonus of huge regression in gay and trans rights and human rights overall.

Yeah Biden has more primary challengers taking a few percentage points each. I’m not arguing there isn’t a significant protest vote, I’m providing perspective.

Biden is unpopular, way more so than Obama. No doubt. Trump is right there too. But for people to try to reject the reality that they have binary choice (unfortunately), where not voting is a vote for the other guy is delulu

The cold truth is no US president (or at least the pool of candidates we currently have across the spectrum who actually have a chance) will change US foreign policy when it pertains to Israel.

So that leaves us with deciding over domestic issues.

Biden is the clear choice for anyone with any sanity and it’s not even close.
