"It's pretty natural for that to be the first reaction; to [want] to go back. The minute the physical wounds go away, you want to go back. [but] when I realized that my selfish decision for love could result [in] some young girl getting killed, I could not be easy with that part."

I wonder how Rihanna feels atm. Clearly she doesn't seem too upset from her recent Tweets/RTs. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I've been a victim of abuse which lasted for quite a few years, and I always looked at Rihanna as somewhat of a hero, in a small way. My main problem with this is the clear stance she took in promoting Rated R; she wanted to be a role model for other women in abusive relationships, and that being another reason she would never get back with him. I know things change, but she could learn a thing or two from listening to her own interviews.

The police report about what happened to Rihanna, it's seriously heartbreaking - I started to cry as I read it, it's so brutal. But when you read that report....it's just shocking that she could ever be in the same room with him again... let alone collaborate with him. I understand she must have Battered Women's Syndrome, in which case, it's not surprising that she keeps forgiving her abuser, but I can only hope that her family does what they can (I'm sure they are trying) to get her the therapy she needs so she can ditch this dangerous jerk.

So to see her stoop to this level is just such a tragic, depressing moment. I have no choice but to boycott her music unless something very drastic changes. And I've always enjoyed most of her music, but this is just disgusting.

I wasn't aware of your situation, I apologize. That was more generalized towards people that feed off of celebrity controversy.

Again, my apologies.

I can't wait for all the parodies that will make even more of a mockery of domestic abuse than these two clowns have already

The ****tiest thing is that I would really enjoy both these songs if they weren't controversy bombs that belittled domestic abuse.

yeah that's probably why this is such a bad idea. It gives the greenlight for tasteless jokes and comments thus reducing the seriousness of domestic violence.
