she shouldn't be replying...it's just not classly. celebrities should be aware that they're going to get critiqued for everything they do and deal with it. she's just making herself look bad

my local station was ATTACKING her today for so many different things. i don't like her, but i feel like they took it too far, haha.

I have lost so much respect for her as a role model, woman and an artist.

- I won't go into too much detail about the whole Chris thing, but I think it's a very inappropriate decision. I don't care if they are friends or whatever, but I think she's an extremely poor role model for people who have suffered or are suffering from domestic abuse.

-As a person with millions people following you, it's obvious you are going to get hateful tweets and comments. Calling someone out to your millions of followers is not okay. Those people she called out are now probably getting hundreds of hateful messages. She's one to talk about cyber-bullying...

About Chris:

A) Rihanna has said in interviews she doesn't want to be a role model, at all.

B) She did a couple remixes with him. It's not like their getting married or anything

C) How many grown women with children run back to their abusers? I think before people expect someone else to be a role model for their children, they need to set the example.

About Twitter:

A) So you're fine with someone sending hateful messages to her, but she can't retaliate? She was pretty nice about it if you ask me.

B) I'm sure the people who might have sent this girl rude tweets would have found out eventually. It's not like it was private. It was a tweet to the public. And all of the girls were retweeted several times. It would have spread around twitter regardless.

so your point is basically that even though Rihanna chose to do it, she shouldn't be held accountable because "someone else would have anyway?" no one's saying she "can't" do things. but there are some things that, when done, will cause people to think you're pathetic. making fun of someone's appearance in front of x million followers when they criticize a decision you made (instead of, you know, defending or explaining the decision*) is one of those things.

*i am not saying rihanna "has" to explain or defend her decision.
