this my friends is why voting is important.  It affects not just abortion, drug prices,who can veto crazy bills. it affects who we can marry/love. The house/senate did pass the respect for marrige act protecting gay marriage i thought tho>? Please Please get out and Vote for anyone with a (D) beside them.

Eh he’d never actually do it. It’s just not a priority of his. He’s saying it bc he absolutely needs to win in November. But gay **** has always been a back burner issue for him. He says the line he needs to say but that’s about it

But please know that not every Christian is this way! My church has same sex marriages and it's not a small church (protestant church of Germany). Evangelicals (which have sadly such a strong standing in the US) are a serious threat to an open, equal and free society (worldwide) and I have been saying this for ages also within my church communities. Liberals Christians need to stand up and fight against this nonsense (and also against the fact that evangelical churches are the fastest growing religious movement right now which is why we are seeing so many conservative politicians trying to accommodate them). The Bible does not belong in the law of any country!

Seeing people spread so much hate and Christian dumbness makes me as a Christian very angry too!

You're calling for them to stand up and speak out, so this little rant isn't against you in particular 💜 mama's just fired up and needs to get this off her chest. 

If religious figureheads from "ally" Christian sects aren't putting their money where their mouths are and loudly speaking out about/fighting against the discrimination, they are part of the problem. Christianity is fueling the far right stance, so unless the "good" Christian groups are trying to reclaim the narrative, they friendliness means nothing on the national scale and Christianity as a religion is at fault. Like cops. Not every single precinct is actively trying to oppress marginalized communities, but they sure aren't fighting very hard for reform, so they're part of the problem.
