Commitments she made during the Chromatica era before covid. I think there are things she was able to negotiate (like doing all of her residency shows exclusively Jazz & Piano and not a new pop show or Enigma 2.0), other things that were kept intact (this is the case with Fortnite) and others that may have eventually been rescheduled for a future (Coachella). I think presenting this Fortnite thing now might answer that it in no way squares with the new era she has in mind and she necessarily has to do it to "clean things up". On the contrary, a show at Coachella squares perfectly with the idea of a new album (of the musical styles that are being rumored), so I think there could still be a possibility. When Bad Romance was added to the last game festival, it caused the revival of the song on TikTok and it went viral. You had all the Gen Z ppl and straight boys praising the song, saying it was the best song added to the game. I couldn’t escape a single video without hearing Bad Romance.
