Southern born and raised with a lot of family in Alabama, and this is not shocking in the slightest. In fact, given all the christofascism that has been bubbling to the surface across all red states politically recently, I don’t see it stopping here. Birth control is already being discussed as being heavily regulated or even banned in some states. It’s repulsive and these people need to be removed from office permanently. Or just off the face of the earth all together. The paradox of tolerance is real and this should not be allowed to thrive or it will over take everything.
