Right like this is why copycat crimes happen. The media does play a role in this.

I saw on Instagram a post saying that there were 800 police officers there on the scene. A person commented saying how this proves that "more protection" isn't enough. Guns are the problem.

Sources are now saying that Police believe it's an argument that's turned into a shootout. 

There's also reports that civilians tried to intervene. 

Kansas allows open carry & concealed carry without a license or permit for over 18s. It's definitely a case where people's lack of restricted gun access created a bigger criminal incident than would have happened if guns weren't available to these people based on what Police are saying they believe the crime to be.
