This is honestly fascinating. The Argentinian President decided to start flying commercial to cut down on public expenses. Argentina has been hit with a very deep economic crisis.

Do you think this is possible in other countries?

Right-wing sure, but so far I've seen only positive signs from his governance rather than the corruption from the previous "left-wing" Argentinian governments. Just because he's right-wing, doesn't mean I'll automatically discredit anything he does. I'm not gonna automatically support any party that is left-wing, even if it means the destruction of the country like it happened with Argentina.

If and when, he starts implementing policies that I disagree with, that's when I'll criticize him. Even on the issue of climate change, he actually decided to stay and comply with the Paris accords, whereas republicans in the U.S for example oppose that.

Since Milei won the election in November, the world has held its collective breath waiting to see what the outlandish, bizarre, extreme candidate would look like as a president. Surprisingly, Milei’s first two months in office have been mostly sensible and promising.  [...]

An Argentina that stands firmly with the liberal democratic world and against authoritarianism would be a welcome sight."

As an Argentine, f*ck him. But also, we've had way worse from the "left wing" (i.e. populists masking as peronists in order to perpetuate themselves in power and impunity). I just hope the next 4 years go by fast and in relative peace

Thats called splitting

 

U can strongly disagree with someone and call out problematic behaviour while still giving credit where its due.

 

In any case id assume this is probably just for show and the looks and I question how sustainable it will be for him to keep doing it anyway
