The MJ Musical had me up in that theater fighting back tears, depending on what subjects they touch upon I just know I'm gonna collapse.

It makes me feel they'll be mashing through the late 80s and early 90s relatively quickly. At least, from the entertainment standpoint. The outfit in the pic (the OP, not this pic) is from the Dangerous Tour so I'm wondering if there'll be some kind of montage to link the tours.

They can show how Evan Chandler weaponized his estranged kids and ex-wife to threaten and blackmail Michael. Then they can show the criminal case in 1993 falling apart due to there being zero evidence against him. They can also show that even when he settled the civil suit that Evan brought against him, he made sure Jordan was the one who got paid, not his sh*t dad that ended up leeching off of Jordan for the next couple decades before killing himself after MJ died.

They can also show the Arvizo family stealing from Neverland, the mother making accusations of rape against security guards in malls and stuff when she was caught stealing. They can show the boys' being questioned separately and how their stories didn't align at all with reality or even each other. Ooh they can show Martin Bashir being a creepy snake.

They can show how close he was to the Robson and Safechuck families and portray the real story rather than the falsified gore p*rn in Leaving Neverland that they made up after being laughed out of dozens of courtrooms for their ridiculous allegations.

They can show that MJ maintained friendships with many children and their families well into those kids' adulthoods. The Carters, the Cascios, the Culkins, and several more whose names escape me rn.

They can show the thousands of sick and impoverished kids that passed through the Neverland gates and how relieved they and their families were to have a day of peace away from their worries.

They can show how MJ empathized with the suffering of children because he himself grew up abused, scrutinized, isolated, and used.

Seeing the list of people involved in the production, I'm confident if they do touch on the allegations, they'll portray them truthfully

How the magic of the place died for him and he moved into a bungalow on the outer limits of the property and his friend Brad moved into another.

There's something so mysterious about that era, we know so little about it. Just Michael quietly chilling with the looming fight for his freedom, making music with Brad, and raising his kids.

I was angry when I found out Katherine had his ashes spread at Neverland. He ended up hating that place.

I'm feeling optimistic too and this first image is great, he looks so much like Michael and they didn't make it weird or insensitive like other depictions. I'm interested to know where the timeline will stop, I can't imagine them going all the way through into the 00s, purely based on how difficult it could become to get the resemblance right. 

I want to see Liz, Brooke and Diana portrayed too, and especially Janet! I was just watching Grace Randolph's review of the image and she said Halle Bailey would make a great Janet and I agree.

We were listening to MJ while working and we started talking about him. A couple of them were unsure if they believed he was innocent or not so I shared the truth with them. I think all but one is convinced but he gave me Valentine's cookies so I'll forgive him

Part of me hopes they don't cover pre-1980

There's been several movies that have told those stories so far. It'd be cool to consider this a kind of sequel to Jacksons: An American Dream (or whatever the title was oof). Have the movie start with the peak of the Thriller era so you can give the complex and exciting 80s and 90s the attention they deserve.

But...they've cast a young MJ so I guess that's not in the cards

Yeah I was gonna say  and there's some behind the scenes shots on imdb(?) that look 70s. I don't mind that stuff if it's short and sets the scene with his relationships with his parents but I hope they don't spend too much time on it.

Update: He knows MJ was innocent now. What cinched it for him was hearing Evan Chandler's phone call, oddly enough.*

Anyway, he's now challenged me to an MJ dance off next time the group goes out so pray for him 'cause I already know all of MJ's choreo and I'll smoke him 

*On topic 'cause I'm wondering if this movie will be entirely from MJ's POV (which means they won't show some things, like Evan's call or the DA's racist bullsh*t) or if it's told as a narrative with MJ as a character. I've never seen the other biopic's so idk what's standard
