Love both albums and they're historic in their own right... but these are combined stats, which doesn't seem fair or legitimate. We can't simultaneously refer to Gaga's next album as LG7 and also believe that TF/M is one album. 

TF is LG1, TFM LG2. Their sales shouldn't be combined tbh.

While I wholeheartedly agree, TF+M were (and still is I presume) being sold as a deluxe LP so it's difficult to distinguish their sales, I believe. 

Born This Way is so close to 15M and ARTPOP is almost at 5M too

Yes as a fanbase we refer to The Fame Monster as an album in its own entirety BUT technically TFM is an EP and is basically a reissue of The Fame given that they are both sold together. 

The Fame Monster doesn't exist without The Fame.

I mean it does. Its truly just an EP and part of The Fame for marketing purposes. Length wise it fully falls under the definition of album. But by pairing it they could use each other when it came to charting.

I totally understand what you mean but what I was referring to is the fact that TFM isn't distributed or formatted by itself. It's literally added on to The Fame if that makes sense? So when you buy/stream TFM you also stream/purchase The Fame.

Like gaga said The Fame is the Ying and the Fame Monster is the Yang. They are simultaneously one with different themes. You get to hear the great things that come with fame but at the other end you hear all the negative.
