It's funny how people in this fanbase think jazz when they see a trumpet and a sax, I personnally think 80s funk music

Bro most people here think the Joanne album was country when in reality there's like 2 country tinged songs max.

The idea of a Gaga album inspired by a multi instrumentalist and producer like Prince would be insane. He was a musician who tried every type of sound and style.

Songs like "Sexxx Dreams", "SHICD", "Monster", "Enigma", "Electric Chapel" defs have that slight Prince gloss

I think her voice also very much suits that sort of Funk Pop-Rock style Prince had as well. I mean every time we’ve had Gaga do any form of funk or disco music in recent years her vocals are 10/10.

I’m honestly hyped now, I remember back when I thought Joanne was going in this direction based on the OG producers she was playing with and now this. Plus we know Gaga pulls out different sides of her producers.

Like at the time Mark was making funk and disco music with artists, and Gaga made him help make a more Pop-Rock record with her. I full expect this next album to feel like a cultivation of her entire career so far and everything she’s learned. I genuinely feel like she wants a few strong almost legacy style albums like Beyoncé has been pulling out.

I really think everyone should expect the unexpected from her, we’ve never guessed the sound of her albums correctly ever. Like she said back in 2008 during a T4 interview in the UK

”When people think they know who Lady Gaga is, I want to remind them they don’t”

Imagine if in 2010/2011 all we knew was Gaga was using electric guitars, saxophones and a hip-hop producer (DJWS) for BTW we would have no clue what was going on lol

I agree with this until Chromatica. Chromatica was pretty much what I expected, er- I was hoping for a grittier, less commercial+polished sound but Bloodpop :traumatica:

I'm hoping LG7 is a fusion of funk, rock, dark industrial beats, with a ballad or two.

I mean her doing more commercial than grittier music kinda supports what I said about her not doing what we expect :poot: us expecting LG7 to be like that basically means it won’t. I personally think it’s gonna be pop rock and dance pop half way between Joanne and Chromatica tbh

I remember some of the early theories was that all the haus labs promo background music being used at the time was from LG6. Some of them truly ate.

I specifically remember this (has 3 instrumentals):

I recently got into this Gesaffelstein guy and I’ve been listening to his stuff on repeat for past several days. Let’s just say it’s my typical style of music. I hope they worked together, and while I’m aware that it will be nothing like his work, cause it’ll probably be “pop-ified”, I’m still curious about the results. Could be dope.

Sugar, spice, and everything nice.
