He was not really only talking about Beyonce though, he was talking about the corruption and racism of the grammy awards as a whole that resulted in SOS being robbed of the award everyone knows it deserved. Taylor Swift did not deserve aoty, plain and simple, people are correct to call out bullshit. Just because Jay Z comes across like a crybaby does not mean that what he says about the racism of the grammy awards it not valid. Everyone is aware of the rumoured racial bias in the academy. _Lam 597 Posted February 5, 2024 Share Posted February 5, 2024 (edited) This was easily one of the best Grammy night since the early Gaga days! So many great moments, performances and host. I was so happy until the last moment when Taylor completely snubbed Céline Dion (unintentionally I guess). It felt rude the way she left her stood there alone for so long while hugging everyone and just took the award harshly. I just think it would have been such a good closure moment and instead I couldn't help but feel so embarrassed and sad for Céline. I mean, it's a huge faux pas considering she's such an icon and that it's her first appearance since she got this rare disease. I can't wrap my mind around the fact Taylor, who is so professional, completely missed out on this kind of award étiquette. I do wish Lana would’ve taken AOTY bc she deserves a Grammy, but let’s not act like Midnights isn’t a good album. It’s not Taylor’s best but DYKTTATUOB? is also not Lanas best album either.
