If Britney wasn't famous and you asked someone what's wrong with her and someone said 'oh this guy cheated on her 22 years ago' would you still have the same amount of sympathy? Love Britney but you can't rip someone to shreds and then go apologize. She should have kept it at the book and stand by what she said unapologetically. It's not her fault her fans are going rogue with this whole selfish vs selfish thing. Justin is not in the clear either but he was clearly upset by that apology. The damage has been done to his reputation. No apology is gonna change that.

If someone was abused for 13 years and silenced and finally had the opportunity to tell their truth, hell yes I would support it and have sympathy.

This man is a misogynist, he used her, openly talked about sleeping with her in detail on the radio after they broke up and used her to look like the bad guy when he was out there cheating. He is vile.

She tried to do the mature thing and apologises to move forward but this grown ass ‘man’ decides to mock this woman. Don’t slam Britney if you aren’t going to hold Justin to the same standard under the blanket excuse she should shut up It’s 20 yrs ago.

This man literally posed with shaving clippers shaving his head in magazines to mock Britney in 2007. He would then regularly suggested Britney should go to rehab mocking her while singing Amy Winehouse’s song of the same name.

This ‘man’ is nothing but trash.

Oh I know all of this. But still this is 20 year old tea. She already exposed him in her book. She shouldn't have mentioned him in an apology after. It just keeps this 'feud' going on and on and gives  Britney fans something to do because she isn't releasing any music. Justin already apologized to Janet and Britney. Was it sincere? Probably not but don't expect him to apologize again. I'm not choosing sides. Just making an observation.

Finally someone said it  and I hate justin with passion, but britney should move on and her fans should find a job and/or a hobby.

A lot of people are pretty sure RCA forced the apology because they were embarrassed about her song charting and thought she was sabotaging his album rollout. They are really trying to position him in the top 10, so they have a lot of money riding on this and a huge radio deal currently. 
 

Predictions are it will debut at 11 mostly because streaming fell short…

Not trying to pick sides here but Gaga would've just carried on with her Oscar- and Grammy-tipped career. There's a reason why she's so respected and controversy-free. She spends her time and energy on productive things. She stands up for the cause when it's right and necessary (she came out as a victim of sexual assault, she removed DWUW from all platforms and admitted her 'poor judgment' during AP, she praised & supported Katy Perry when the court documents leaked both publicly and privately) and she never prolongs the controversy for the sake of publicity or whatever other reason. She makes a clear, firm stance and then move on.

I think both Britney and JT could learn from that tbh.

 

If anything it's JT who will benefit from the publicity now, he has a new era to promote. Y'all may be doing exactly what he wants.
