At least it's the end of annoying/cringe posers and edits. :ladyhaha:

And let's see this as a good thing, many recents last releases were short and catchy to fit to tiktokable trends so I guess that it's a very good thing for creativity and art in itself. :vegas:

I hope it remains in force, well done Universal !

It’s quite literally the opposite, edits and unofficial uploads are not affected, so there will be even more edits and sped up version to avoid copyright

Kinda hope they'll find an agreement and put it back on TikTok. Every day I was seeing tweets about Gaga songs hitting new daily plays highs.

It won’t change anything about viral hits :toofunny:

it will though with older songs becoming modern hits. Bloody Mary wouldn’t have been a hit without it going viral on TikTok with the Wednesday edits

And reportedly UMG didn't even ask from the artists about this... In fact artists didn't want this since TikTok is the biggest promo platform atm. :madge:

Yeah I’ve seen a few videos the past view days from artists with 15M+ monthly listeners that honestly sound annoyed that they can’t preview their new music
