I know we can always hope for promo after the album comes out, but do you remember the excitement that came from previous first singles? It was insane. I hate that we haven't experienced that in 5 years. i don't feel that excited anymore and it's frustrating cause it would be so easily fixed by just seeing her doing interviews and live performances, especially since Disease is such a good single. Imagine the promo and looks that we would've got if she released this 10 years ago. Now promo is dead and there's no reason why it should be that way.

that movie was disastrous for her and everyone involved, i can't help but feel Harlequin was supposed to be pushed much more, then we'd transition to LG7 promo on the awards season with red carpet interviews, tv promo, pre orders, live performances and much more.. Joker 2 success was a requirement for this, and they lost the gamble...

Todd Phillips really ruined it for her, and us  Let's hope they have a plan B.

I wouldn't say that. Todd made some bold choices and i really liked the movie. She and her team should've known better. Also now she should have much more time to shoot MVs and stuff, so no excuses from now on

I also enjoyed but we can't deny it's universally panned and not good for her career, and that's mostly Todd's fault tbh, especially because he cut her screen time so much, i still want the gaga cut. 

I do agree her team should know better, they should always have different plans for someone like Gaga and its pure incompetence if they don't.

This is definitely what has happened. But how did they not have a back up plan since the messy Chromatica era? That’s what I can’t understand. 
 

It was the announcement that she’d be taking part in the benefit concert at the end of January that made me come back to reality. We are definitely getting nothing before then. 
 

At this point it’s best to accept that we may get 1 or 2 weeks of Preorders, Possibly a promo/third single on release week and nothing more. Thats if it’s still coming in February. (And people are in denial if they are expecting a successful era. The GP are not gonna resonate with this album)
Otherwise we have to be patient and wait for Coachella time to come around.

Yeah. This is also in line with what the insider said. Announcement 1 week before the album, the promo will mainly happen in that  1 week and then it's done.

What upsets me is how she seems to be really proud of the new music, but then completely abandons it the moment things go wrong. 
It makes me question whether or not her heart is in it anymore. (Remember that she might seem excited, but she is a good actress)

Just think how you would feel if you were reading these things about yourself. Remember that she’s a human and doesn’t Owe anyone anything. I’m as curious about the silence as anyone else but you don’t have to make up what you think is happening as if it’s gospel.

While I would enjoy more performances as long as Coachella and Rio eats and we get them filmed properly I'm happy. She's been absent from festivals like that where you would get a special show and knowing that's happening again makes me happy.

They forgot the whole world was attacking her from October to December because of Joker. Her socials were flooded by people harrassing her and blaming her for Joker's fiasco. That was a tweet with 300k likes mocking her and her Instagram comment section was really hard to read.
Add on that Trump won the elections and there you have a devasted woman who maybe wasn't in the right place of the mind to do promo or release music.

But HEY if random user says that her team should have known better, who are we to judge?

I don't get it. You're upset because she didn't do much promo or a 5 years before link for the preorders, but it seems that you've already set in stone the fate of the era/album? If the GP are not going to resonate with this album, even a massive promotion à la Born This Way won't change a thing

Everyone moved on from Joker tbh

Now she just need to focus on LG7 and the big events coming. The press will eat those up 100% sure.

Everyone here is up for to evolve creatively. Not just staying in the very safe Adult Contemporary zone she is in for 90% of her stuff released in the last decade. It'll find its audience, even it’s not the regular +50 years old housewife.

Please stop repeating this. It was an opinion on one of the things they could do, just she did with Harlequin. Not an insider confirming anything.

I literally said that I accepted that this era will have minimal promo.

 Gaga’s music (ballads/ duets aside) has not been popular with the GP for years now. So it’s almost obvious that the album won’t move the earth. 
I want promo/ content for us fans to enjoy. Not for chart impact. 
Let’s be real if chart success wasn’t her top priority, we will eventually be getting that content regardless. 
Anyway, I’m not mad about it. As long as we get the album before coachella. That’s all I care about.
