im aware that Gaga herself said it will be released in feb, but Gaga has proven to be an unreliable insider from time to time.

They postponed the next single cause of the success of DWAS. They wanna let it stay as long as possible on top. N they don't see it falling into January. So, the album will drop as it was scheduled February as a surprise. The best scenario n target, is to took -the album- the most places they can in the top 10 or 100. If they release a single and after 1 month or less drop the album, the anticipation will have been faded. The next single will be the one with the most stream power.

Tbh I think this is the most logical and realistic theory I’ve read. 

I was convinced they’d drop the 2nd (now 3rd) single in January to build hype for a Feb release, but now I think with the success of DWAS, they’re going to ride that wave.

The only thing I will slightly disagree with is that the album will be a surprise drop. I still think they will announce title / cover beforehand.

But agree the 3rd single will have more streaming power when it drops alongside the album release, be playlisted, get promo, be sent to radios on during week of release. Hopefully a music video to accompany too! OR they will decide which single will be 3rd based on which song is streamed most.

Dropping Disease didn't affect DWAS success and performance at all so I don't see how this would make sense tbh

No shade but DWAS will probably still be top 10 late 2025

Y’all I would not hold my breathe on an announcement this week… LA is facing severe fires right now that are engulfing our mountains. The fires are aggressive and are being fueled by 80-100 mph winds. Fire department is running out of water and the wind is making it nearly impossible to fight. Really scary for a lot of people out here right now.

Not trying to sound disrespectful to those who are suffering in LA but I doubt anyone would delay an announcement just because a city is going through something. Also an announcement wont hurt anyone.

Part of me would love her to drop the whole thing as a visual album for her to have this moment… with a huge TikTok push… But I think I’m dreaming…

gaga's home might be threatened by it, I already posted this on the wildfire topic but sharing here for more visibility:

The red arrow is where she lives, about 50 miles from the worst and the fires are very unpredictable and moving fast.

Now, I'm not saying this changes anything, but I bet she's nervous, especially because of what already happened in 2018.
