Chromatica was delayed in the middle of the pandemic when we all needed something to escape that dreadful time, and we had to pass several weeks without knowing the new release date (which was awful). I also think that as effective as teasing is as a marketing strategy, there's something to be said for announcing something and it dropping it <24 hours later, especially when you're at Gaga's level of stardom. It’s not easy to be a Gaga fan To be fair, in-between initially teasing ARTPOP in 2012 and it's release date in 2013, she also broke her hip and required a long period of recovery (which wasn't even as long as she really needed in hindsight), that definitely pushed back the album's release. She and her team teases for so long that the hype just dies. After LG7, I think I will just go back to being in the dark when it comes to her future projects.
