She's going for a dark, gothic era. There were elements of the in TFM and BTW, but I feel like it's much more present now. Disease visuals - Dark, gothic The title - "Mayhem" means chaotic, which is a word ("chaos" more specifically) that she's used a lot when describing the album The sound of disease - Again, it's a dark electronic/industrial/dance pop song CBT premiere outfits - The black hair + white car outfit specifically references the Disease MV Image from the her website - She's wearing black, in black hair, the picture's in greyscale, there's a broken mirror...it feels "dark," which is what she's going for 𝔗𝔥𝔢 𝔪𝔲𝔰𝔦𝔠'𝔰 𝔤𝔬𝔫𝔫𝔞 𝔟𝔯𝔦𝔫𝔤 𝔪𝔢 𝔟𝔞𝔠𝔨 𝔣𝔯𝔬𝔪 𝔡𝔢𝔞𝔱𝔥 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

For all we know they’re fake. These could easily be promo photos or photos from the album’s shoot too, but we don’t know anything. I feel that way about every era. It takes me a minute to adjust to the new aesthetic, but they always (except one ) grow on me. I will say though, that image of her in the pink metallic panties in a crab-walk still makes me angry even though Chromatica is in her top 2 albums shoots for me.
