It wasnt available on physical stores at least on the first week and after it was released in NZ on Spotify (since it was a local release) people didnt bother to order it lol

they had full album promo cycles and physical pre-orders, not really comparable

Because why would she announce a single 2 weeks ahead of time? Like please just think about this. I'm begging yall. I know we are all eager and the anticipation can be painful but we cannot rush her work. Just have some faith.

if she’s releasing this Friday, then teasing should begin today or tomorrow 

if she’s releasing next Friday, she won’t begin to tease 2 weeks before (you all would say “she is ruining the hype by teasing this so early”)

Streaming wise none of them competed with Harlequins opening numbers.

Sales wise its hard to compare because L4S & C2C both had physicals ready to go at launch but Harlequin didn't. Harlequin was also the biggest release on the Jazz charts since L4S though - the album did very well in the relevant genre.

But neither of those albums were surprise releases and they also had a monument legend of Jazz on them which meant 2 fan bases were buying. 

My point is that its pointless talking about her Jazz albums and their chartability in comparison to her pop career.

The GP ain't gonna buy a surprise drop Jazz album for a film they've heard was bad. Because they don't listen to jazz albums that much anyway.

The GP are going to be significantly more interested in giving a trial listen to a lead single of a full Lady Gaga pop album. Because pop music is massive on the charts.
