Regarding the lead and MV, the MV they shot would've been for the new "more commercial"-sounding lead, right? In that case, I don't see how they'd switch back regardless of DWAS's success since MVs take quite some time—between production, editing, and all that. Like, it'd be difficult to switch the lead again after DWAS since they'd need to film a MV for an entirely different song.

Would a record label allow someone to spend their money on a MV only for it to then be scrapped as a single release?

Do you have a source? I mean no disrespect but...

They should drop the whole album and them work out the singles. Everybody is happy (including us ).

If stores already have the album, we can expect art cover leaks or even the whole thing leaking.

Maybe they have two MV. Didn’t they film stupid love in January and ROM in end of February as LG6 (or just before) was announced? I saw the Gaga visions again and it said something about feb for ROM.

Even a video like that takes money to film, as someone who has worked in TV and has studied those kind of things, even a simple video costs money. Locations, production, film crew, props, extras, lights, editing team. There's money that no record label would want to waste.

Could just be the distributors waiting to drop to stores but still it seems like it exists somewhere other than the vault now. Time will tell.

Long time train commuter, but I was always in the quiet carriage.

Not doubting the tea but we are hours away from September. The plans not being aligned yet with a September release date is a little confusing to me? There is a LOT to prepare before any launch, surely they’re on the same page regarding press releases, comms, visuals for website and socials, making sure vendor-specific editions have the correct data, preorder timeline, eventual release etc? That all doesn’t happen at the push of a button.

When we say distributors already have the album, are we talking digital platforms and retailers or…?

Billie also had 2 Music Videos ready for the Album promotion with Lunch and Chihiro + they pre-filmed at least 2 and planned a third one for the Chromatica Era. I'm sure the label is "down" if that meant getting it their way.

Come on. There’s no way they’re that uncertain about the rollout this close to the (supposed) release. It’s starting to sound like nonsense.

Think about all the things that have to happen in the lead up to a release, all the things that have to be planned in advance that need to align… the budgets and approvals and scheduling conflicts that have to be resolved. They involve hundreds of other people and external companies with their own schedules too. It’s getting silly now.
