Adele to tour for her next album but doesn't plan to write it for quite some time

Its true. The GP moves on from stuff too fast now. Attention spans are at an all time low.

 

Even Gagas releases are too far apart. The only reason i think she may have a shot at success is that the tik tok viral stuff of her catalogue (especially bloody mary) and soon renewed hype around her because of joker puts her back on the map

 

If it wasnt for Bloody Mary and Joker 2 anticipation im not convinced a release now would have more than lukewarm success. Not saying it would be a Bionic level flop but definitely perhaps her weakest debut since becoming famous

Adele's music obviously doesn't come very often like Taylor Swift and probably takes too long in the current pop landscape. But the magic of it is that the fans have been growing up with Adele and every time she comes with an album it's a new life stage that many people are living. For example their first love, their first breakup, their marriage, motherhood, divorce, etc. This is what fans love about Adele's music, just to feel like their life is written in those lyrics. I'm sure there has to be several of them who would want albums to come sooner but it works for Adele and that's fine lol.

She also talked about most pop hits being written for the Tik Tok viral moment and that she wanted her music to be for 30+ year olds, didn't want teenagers to sing about break up or just heavy lyrics in general so I don't think she's trying to come for a hit song, it just happens.
