I flinched a bit, but I liked the beat enough to get to the chorus. It’s catchy . But I like rnb and it’s not too mellow or sobby. Strangely enough Justin bieber and timberlake have kinda started to share the same sound? Though bieber is much more winny I actually listened to it second time. It just tells me he has nothing to say. His growth has always been more of sound than visuals. And I think it's quite clear that he's defined his brand as 'toning it down'. He wrote the song Say Something which is about not wanting to react when society expects him to. In some ways it really runs against what the current climate of pop music is (male artists queerbaiting, having big concepts, etc.) so it actually feels like a statement to me. It's not loud, but that's the point. It's a bit like Gaga's choices with Perfect Illusion and A Star Is Born.
