pachinko 10,413
Duh. The line-up is terrible this year.
skaxboy 5,595
I hope this means they will lower the prices so I can go! For the amount of artists I think itâs a good price. I would pay about $100 for Lana and the Doja Cat tour was going for $150 resales.  My problem with Coachella is how celebrity/influencer driven it is. Itâs also pretty pricey when you factor in hotels and such. The cheapest hotel package for 2 is $3,200. Itâs not bad but $2,000 of that is just a 3 night stay at a hotel. I am not the camping type or anything but for $3,000 I could go to so many big tours I plan on seeing. I am trying to convince my friends to come so we can pay $2,000 for an AirBNB and split the cost 6 ways.  I never miss EDC in Las Vegas. They have a questionable pricing tier. They do GA for like $400, GA+ for $600, and VIP for like $850.  They âsold outâ of their cheaper GA tickets during their âpresaleâ but have plenty of the more expensive tickets available. I like to VIP because you get dedicated areas to view and nicer bathrooms but itâs not really necessary. They will not be selling more of the cheaper tier ones so I will end up buying VIP. Then you gotta pay for hotels and shuttles/Ubers. We spent like 3,500 last year but the production value is top notch. Stages and fireworks are amazing plus top notch artists.
Franch Toast 26,910
I wouldn't be going if not for No Doubt. There are a few artists I'm looking forward to seeing, but minus No Doubt, this wouldn't be enough to motivate me to go to the hell that is Coachella (see, "hell" is even in the name). I hope it's less crowded, and I hope all these "influencers" (gag me) will keep away from my band. I bet most of them don't even know that Gwen Stefani is part of No Doubt @skaxboy you can probably get decently priced resale tickets. She/Her/Hers

My friends are convinced they will tour but I keep hyping them up saying âyeah but we can see them for their big return!â If it were up to me, I would go just for the day they are playing and not even stay in that area for the night. Maybe they will sell one day tickets since sales are slow. I was pretty convinced on going and spending the $3k and postponing a Japan trip to Fall, but now I saw the line up for the one day Lovers And Friends festival and would love to do that. Gwen (solo) is part of the line up so it makes me kinda nervous that there wonât be more ND shows.  I went to Coachella a few years ago and it was so hot a dusty. The extra costs made is not worth it for me. Itâs still very fun and I love festivals and concerts.
smitherz 2,355
I just think Doja and Tyler are bad headliners. Doja has been on tour all year and Tyler just headlined his own festival in Los Angeles in October
Taylucifer 5,154
I mean the headliners are all rather controversial people (in their own ways), while they may have rabid online fans I am not if they would also be willing to spend days in a desert for them. Doja probably could have been the big pull as she kinda has the pop/rap hits at least one of the headliners requires but unfortunately she was committed to getting people to dislike her. Lana's last festival performance was a disaster and idk much about Tyler. Influencers ironically have probably also contributed to the downfall and people not wanting to go. Good luck to Coachella, I am sure they will begging Miss Swift or someone similar to come next year 'The Life of a Showgirl' is out on Oct

I mean everyone basically was like how do you do a better set? So I think for more casual people itâs like ehhhh do I need to go bc also to your point itâs more like a thing casual people take part in digitally than physically lmao plus it isnât just Coachella. Itâs EVERYTHING involved with Coachella like Uber surges, expensive lodging, all that I agree Coachella peaked the year Bey headlined. Sheâs the largest âgetâ the festival has ever had in terms of the current zeitgeist. People came to see her specifically But for scheduling thereâs been a rocky few years that weâre still seeing a run on impact- 2019 was circling a Kanye West return (though he did with a wknd 2 set), 2020 Travis Scott astroworld drama/& 2021 the covid cancellations, and the 2022 Frank Ocean cancellation. The risk/reward for some people are the headliners (though I think the headliners are only a small part of what makes it great). I donât think this will break Coachella, and it will continue to remain relevant for a long time. Especially as there are so many artists âbornâ out of Coachella who come back bigger & better Itâs almost its own machine at this point. Itâs still the gold standard of festivals. But I agree- there is always a sentiment of- is this worth my entire bank account if I can catch the gist of the weekend online?

Starmie25 18,861
It kinda has become a joke that festival. Especially last year with Frank Ocean. I'd be so pissed paying money to see that "performance"Â
