Most "eras" are through social media nowadays. It's really about how you can get people talking on social media as opposed to doing interviews on late-night shows, doing live performances, having billboards, etc. Obviously those things still have their place in creating an "era", but eras now are much more digital than before. I think he's saying that you don't have to be fully involved in the rollout anymore, like she can do 2 things at once because she doesn't have to tour radio stations and talk shows anymore to put out and promote music, she can do it from anywhere.
