Unwritten's major boost, nearly 20 years after its initial release, comes from its inclusion in the brand-new romcom Anyone But You, starring Sydney Sweeney (Euphoria) and Glen Powell (Top Gun: Maverick) as two frenemies who decide to pretend that they're dating when they accidentally turn up single to a mutual friends' destination wedding. 
It’s not the only British pop single from the early noughts enjoying a resurgence, powered by a feature film. Sophie Ellis-Bextor‘s “Murder on the Dancefloor”, reached #14 on Global Spotify Chart with 3.5M streams, following its memorable spot late in Emerald Fennell’s dark-as-coal movie Saltburn. source

Thank you for sharing. This definitely made me love the song more. I can't believe it took over a year after its original release to really take off here in the US.
