I think people don’t really care about Kygo. He’s kind of the producer. People are criticizing Ava because she keeps using samples in the same way. Not that it is a bad thing, but they are just too obvious not super worked on and original. if people wanna hear what a good sample is, listen to Renaissance or even Flower by Miley. This sample or rather, interpolation is actually done in much better taste than some other horrible songs from last year. The song flows well, it's done well i dont see anything so bad about it. It's well executed it's on brand for both. Generic? well sometimes doing what you know and well works well.
