I mean, c'mon now, there's no denying how well put together the entire presentation is. The song is great, the message is important. It would be a lot easier to take this seriously if it didn't feel like such a blatant response to a scandal that has affected multiple people's real lives.

Girl, what happens if/when you meet someone new and fall for him, and decide you don't want Ethan anymore? Wrecked a home and made a major pop comeback centered around it? The critics are gonna keep doing their thing, she's probably not going to become LESS sensitive to the criticism at her age. Drawing attention to this just reads like using the scandal for some buzz rather than a profession of being proud about her stance.

All of that being said, I enjoyed listening and watching. Feeling confused about the lesson that's meant to be taken from the video and song lyrics... It feels like an appeasement in the hopes that the music will overshadow her personal life, which it might, but people are gonna continue to roast her regardless of bops.

Ehhh in my opinion it just seems to be how she works in terms of bringing the scandal to the music. thank u, next arose from a huge publicized life event and so did this. I think she just takes her feelings/story about things and vomits them onto the songs

this is such a mismatched visual for the song IMO. woeful

Tbh I love the song and production and the video is cute but I kept waiting for Ari to fully go into it, it's like she's very hesitant. The music is very high energy and she's serving 7.5

Love and support her, just my honest opinion. The video seems off from the vibe of the song.

We've never expected ariana to snap on choreo so to me she did the thing!

She nailed this! Awesome and catchy af song. The video looks amazing, she looks amazing, the choreo looks amazing! And those Vogue and Paula Abdul influences are pure gold. I stan! :tony:

When I was banned, everyone underrated Ari even though she was delivering non-stop quality.

I return, she underwhelms and everyone seems to love it :bear:

It's just ok. Nothing about this convinces me that those people would somehow do a 180 and leave that room as delirious stans. Hate her make-up. Her presence is lacking. Oh well.

It's good I guess

nothing groundbreaking, not that it should be but I definitely expected more. Glad people are enjoying it tho, at least the fans are getting new music from her

This! I love her soft choreography but I wanted even for a few seconds full on energy. I remember when the Focus On Me video premiered, I gagged at the black and white star look and her doing the splits. I really wanted a moment like that with this video. Especially how amazing the choreography is for Paula Abdul’s “Cold Hearted.” That choreography is still incredible.

Either way I adore the song and think she did good.

At first I was like lmaoo what in the Alicia Keys young songwriter from NYC vibes.. but then I'm obsessed. Musical theater queen with her gays.

I had it on repeat driving home (w J Christ, thank u) and I'm obsessed now. So good. So chill and airy.

A straight up tribute to 80's pop divas. I'm here for this sound, it suits her as a next move. Can't wait to hear the whole album!
